Not a travel blogger who visited for two weeks. Not a relocation consultant who has never made the move. Paul Green packed two suitcases in 2018, flew to Guanajuato, and never left.

I built this site because I couldn't find the resource I needed when I was planning my own move: something written by someone who had actually gone through the paperwork, the bank accounts, the first lonely months, and the slow process of building an actual life here, rather than a travel writer's impression after a week-long visit. Everything on My Mexico Move comes from eight years of doing this myself and from helping over 2,000 other people do the same, through consultations, the guides, and the community.

I still live in Guanajuato, the city I moved to in 2018, and most of what I write comes directly from things I've dealt with that week or that year, not from a general knowledge base about Mexico.
